18th Annual Prayer Breakfast for Life and 2017 March & Rally for Life

wmoore3On Saturday, January 21st, pro-lifers from across the state came to the Doubletree by Hilton in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the 18th Annual Prayer Breakfast for Life. Around 300 pro-lifers attended the 18th Annual Prayer Breakfast for Life. We were also pleased to have many legislators from the NC General Assembly in attendance. Our guest speaker, National Right to Life Committee President Carol Tobias, spoke about the potential accomplishments that await the pro-life movement with a President Donald Trump and the work that must be done in the near future. Approximately 2,000 people joined us for the Rally at the Halifax Mall, followed by the March for Life. At the rally, NRLC President Carol Tobias commented on the need to press the media and pro-abortion representatives on dismemberment abortions.
“Make the pro-abortion legislators explain to their constituents why it’s okay to kill little babies by tearing off their arms and legs so that they bleed to death.
- Carol Tobias, President of National Right to Life Committee
Did you get to attend one of these events? Thank you! These events allow us to educate each other on the current struggles ahead for the movement. They also allow us to display demand for a culture of life in our state. Were you unable to attend this year? No problem! Our next Rally & March for Life is scheduled for January 20th, 2018. We hope to see you there! koc1-edit

US Congressman Mark Meadows Greeting to the 18th Annual Prayer Breakfast for Life Attendees

meadows6 Dear Friends, I am thrilled to welcome all of you to the North Carolina Right to Life’s 18th Annual Prayer Breakfast for Life. What a privilege it is to come together and speak out on behalf of so many unborn lives who cannot speak for themselves. As you all know, the Supreme Court ruled in Roe v. Wade to uphold the legalization of abortion more than 40 years ago. Since that time, it’s estimated that over 55 million innocent children have been killed as a result of abortions in the United States. This anniversary is a heartbreaking reminder that we have much work to do in the pro-life movement. However, that is why it is so critical that you and so many others like you are here today. As members of the pro-life movement, it is on us to spread the message and speak out about the principle that human life is sacred - beginning at conception and ending in natural death.   I am so encouraged to welcome all of you on this both sobering occasion and yet wonderful reminder that life is truly precious. Let us never forget to continue fighting to preserve life. As always, I am incredibly thankful for the North Carolina Right to Life for their tireless work in defending the pro-life cause. Sincerely, Mark Meadows Member of Congress
