On January 13, 2018, pro-lifers gathered from across the state at the Doubletree by Hilton in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the 19th Annual Prayer Breakfast for Life. Approximately 270 attended along with legislators and Congressman Robert Pittenger (R-9) who gave the Invocation and brought an update about the pro-life efforts in Congress.
The featured speaker was Hannah Rose Allen whose remarks brought tears to the eyes of the men and women in attendance.  Her powerful testimony ended with a video that included a song written and performed by a friend of hers.  Kathryn Atkinson Stansbury sang the Our Father at the Breakfast and the National Anthem at the Rally.  Her husband Joey Stansbury led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. Pam Votipka, the director of Prayer Partners for Life, gave a moving introduction to the prayer segment and Andrew Votipka, her son and our treasurer, explained the need for funds and asked for donations to help NCRTL with its projects.

Later that day at 1:30 pm, approximately 2,000 pro-lifers joined together for the Rally at the Halifax Mall, followed by the annual March for Life. At the rally, Hannah Rose Allen spoke about why we march and why it is important to be involved.  (You can watch her speech on this page.) Clair Williams, a student at App State, a graduate of Camp Joshua and an At Large Board member of NCRTL, explained why attending Camp Joshua is so important for high school students. (See Kimberly Wood Live at the March on this page.)

Did you get to attend one of these events? Thank you! These events are important to keeping the pro-life movement alive and well in NC. They also provide a public witness to the need for pro-life laws and educational efforts.  Were you unable to attend this year? No problem! Our next Rally & March for Life is scheduled for January 12, 2019. We hope to see you there!
