The Organization

North Carolina Right to Life, Inc., organized and incorporated in October 1973, was founded for the purpose of educating the public about abortion, infanticide and euthanasia. Through public policy and legislation on both the federal and state levels, it works to protect all innocent human life threatened by abortion, infanticide and euthanasia. 

North Carolina Right to Life, Inc., is a 501 c(4) organization through which the organization accomplishes its lobbying and legislative efforts. Memberships are available through this arm of the organization and dues and donations to the 501 c(4) are not tax deductible for income tax purposes. 

The North Carolina Right to Life Political Action Committee is the arm through which endorsements of political candidates are made. Because of its political nature, donations are not tax deductible and can only be solicited from members of North Carolina Right to Life, Inc. 

The North Carolina Right to Life, Inc., Education Fund is recognized by the IRS as a 501 c (3) non-profit; therefore, donations to the Education Fund are tax deductible for income tax purposes. The sole purpose of the organization is education. The organization seeks to educate about the dangers of abortion, infanticide, assisted suicide, and euthanasia. The organization also promotes the positive alternatives to abortion and the use of the Will to Live as an alternative to the Living Will. Much of the educational materials in the form of models, brochures, and videos revolve around fetal development. Through the Educational Fund, NCRTL's Educational Projects are possible. These projects include the free distribution of literature, brochures, bumper stickers, lapel pins, posters, etc., through displays and information booths at county and state fairs, and by phone or mail requests. In addition, the Education Fund permits NCRTL to get its message out through newspaper, TV and radio ads. Also supported by the Education Fund is a speakers' bureau to handle requests of schools, churches, and civic organization.
