Prayer Breakfast for Life




The North Carolina Right to Life Prayer Breakfast for Life – 2017 will be its 18th year – has become a very popular annual event for pro-life advocates and legislators from across North Carolina. By providing information, inspiration, and fellowship to bolster pro-life efforts for the new year, the prayer breakfast is a must-attend event for all who work to protect the members of our human family from conception to natural death.


Carol Tobias

Featured Speaker: Carol Tobias

Carol Tobias is president of the National Right to Life Committee. A native of North Dakota, she has served on the National Right to Life board of directors since 1987. From 1983 to 1991, she was executive director of North Dakota Right to Life, and in 1991 was hired as National Right to Life political director, a position she held until 2005.

During her tenure as political director, pro-life majorities were elected to both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S, Senate. Carol has appeared on World News Tonight, NBC’s TODAY show, The News Hour on PBS, news shows on CNN, C-SPAN, and Fox News Channel, as well as on numerous television and radio programs throughout the country. She has been quoted In the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and USA Today.

Hope Kemp

Vocalist: Hope Kemp

From Burlington, NC, Hope is a singer and pianist, layman songwriter, Antioch Community Church music minister. Over the past thirty years Hope has served as a praise and worship leader for women’s conferences and  retreats, Christian church prayer retreats,  PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel- USArmy) in Germany and Japan, and artistic production manager for Arts Alive Fine Arts studio, Burlington, NC. She has written music for Piercing Word Theatre ministries (Lancaster, Pennsylvania),  Elon University (Elon, NC) Perciles projects and has recorded albums of original music; “Whisper of Your Name”, “All Right”,  “Unto Us; Songs of Nativity”, and a single, “Hallelujah, Highest Praises; a new hymn.”
Hope has been happily married to Mark, a local dentist, since 1984, is the mother of four grown children, two beautiful daughters-in-love, and two perfect grandchildren.

Schedule: Doors open at 9:00 am; buffet begins at 9:30 am; program starts at 10:00 am and ends by noon.

Immediately followed by Rally and March for Life which is open to the public.

(Limited Seating – Preregistration is required by January 17, 2017. Name tags will printed for all guests and will be the at the door.  It is important that all names be given to our office by the deadline to preregister.)
